When I first came across the title of ‘Wolf’s rain’, I was very skeptical if I wanted to see the anime or not. I decided to do so and I was very happy that I did. From my point of view, this anime is excellent; the story is beautiful and the graphics are terrific. The music is wonderful and there are some moments of humor, but the story is sad. It’s really sad and I remember crying towards the end.
It’s a story about the journey of four wolves to find Paradise. The storyline is set in that the world is ecologically destroyed and most people are poor. Through the legends that were forgotten, one of them referred to the origin of the Wolves. Wolves have been thought to be extinct for more than two centuries, but some wolves managed to survive and blend in with the human society by using some form of illusion that makes them appear in human form. The legend says that wolves came from a place called Paradise in order to bring wisdom to the human race and if they would seek out the road to Paradise again the world would then be destroyed.

The series was aired in Japan by Fuji TV in 2003, and was directed by Okamura Tensai and animated/produced by BONES, known to have animated/produced Angelic Layer, Ayakashi Ayashi, Cowboy Bebop the movie, Fullmetal Alchemist Ouran High School Host Club, The Skull Man and many famous anime. Only 26 episodes where broadcasted on TV and in January 2004, the 4 OAV that completed the series where released.
This story has a great cast of voice actors such as Mamoru Miyano as Kiba, Kenta Miyake as Tsume, Akio Suyama as Hige, Hiroki Shimowada as Toboe, Kaho Kouda as Cher Degre and Arisa Ogasawara as Cheza, all have given their voices to great anime characters.

Overall this is a very good anime and its worth watching. If anyone has a different opinion, please share it with us.
